Rope Chains

A rope chain twists: the maker sets each link at an angle, and the finished chain spirals. That spiral is why rope sparkles where a cable chain only shines. Every turn hands the light a new facet.

Rope is also the shape that shows width most clearly. At 1.5mm it reads as a thread of light. At 3mm it reads as jewellery from across a room. You pay for that in weight and in price, and every page here gives both numbers.
